Why it is important to share and act on information about |
||
Child Development and Early LearningThe first eight years of childhood are critically important, particularly the first three years. They are the foundation of future health, growth and development. During this period, children learn more quickly than at any other time. Babies and young children develop more rapidly and learn more quickly when they receive love and affection, attention, encouragement and mental stimulation, as well as nutritious meals and good health care. All children have the right to legal registration at birth, health care, good nutrition, education, and protection from harm, abuse and discrimination. It is the duty of parents and governments to ensure that these rights are respected, protected and fulfilled. |
